A great enjoyable read
I just loved this book! I had recently read all 4 of Ruth Jones books and was lost looking for my next read. Found this new release, and took it on holiday. This book was just a joy from beginning to end. I loved all the references to Wales, the characters, personalities, scenery. I would highly recommend. It’s well written, flows well and easy to follow. I really hope there’s more adult fiction to come from Claire Balding! I thoroughly enjoyed!

Light hearted romantic book
I really enjoyed this book. Loved the light hearted romance throughout the storyline. The description of the Welsh countryside was beautiful and the fast paced journalism of London not so much if you are a country person. Don’t want to give too much away to spoil the story. Well done Claire hope there is more to come. Will pass the book on to others to enjoy as I have read the book over 4-5 days.

The read of the Year
Wow what a brilliant read I found it really hard to put it down. Clare has the ability to make the book come alive. The description of the area makes you want to go there. Her story telling is fantastic. I just hope Clare finds the time to write the sequel as I will be first in the queue! A must read even if you don’t live in the countryside or like horses.

Enjoyable read. Well written. Warm and kind. Ms Balding writes to her many strengths – Horses, Dogs, Sport, same sex relationships – so knowledgeable and well observed. Undoubtedly a TV show or film soon.

I don’t know how the main character didn’t guess why she’d been left the farm, and the outcome was very predictable, but overall it was a ‘feel good’ story. Not a book I’ll keep to read again – hence only 3 stars

Such a good read
I don’t read fiction at all. This is my first in over 50 years but I thought it sounded interesting. And it didn’t disappoint.A very easy read and excellent storyline. So good I didn’t want it to end. I hope there is a sequel to this one.
