Christmas is fast approaching but for some people living at the top end of Peppercorn Street, the mood is far from festive. Luke Morgan is not getting on with his teenage daughter, who has recently returned to live with him. In a nearby village Claire Small is trying to avoid her sadistic ex who is stalking her. When Claire and Luke are thrown together by a car accident caused by her dog, it’s obvious that she is in danger and he impulsively invites Claire, her delightful small daughter and their lovable dog to take refuge in his home.
Can the presence of strangers help to rebuild the relationship between Luke and his own daughter? And will this Christmas give them the best present of all: a new family – or will Claire’s ex again cause trouble?

I can’t believe this is the last book in this fabulous series….
Christmas in Peppercorn Street written by Anna Jacobs and narrated by Penelope Freeman is brilliant and I have to say it was the perfect ending to a fabulous series.I loved how the author brought in new inhabitants to Peppercorn Street, and with this book, she did not disappointed once again with a very addictive storyline. There are a lot of mental health issues within this storyline, and I liked how the author showed both sides of this subject. Not only the patient but also how it affected those around them. There was also the subject of mental and physical abuse during a marriage, which I found interesting as it showed how the victim of the abuse took a stand against it. Of course, there is an odd romance or two to warm your heart with and once again I am happy to recommend this fabulous series both written and audible versions are both five-star rates.

A very good read.
I can’t seem to put Anna’s books down. There’s always a lot of people in the background, living their lives who get included. It’s so interesting seeing how they all fit in. I love every one of Anna’s books.Terri x

MRS S PUSEY –
Another brilliant story
This story was lovely to read i really enjoyed it and all the people in it what a brave little girl Gabby was to know what to do when her mother and herself were in danger from her father i felt very sad for them cruel and nasty to put his child and her mother through this.Luke’s daughter Dee was also having problems with her mother as well such a shame for parents to do this to their children out of spite.I can’t believe i was surprised to be reading a Christmas story in July but I really enjoyed it.Thank you Anna for these wonderful stories I’ve read over 40 of them and enjoyed all of them .

Excellent!
What a talented author Anna Jacobs is. Every time I start to read one of her books I just can’t put it down and this book was no different. A great read and a nice tying up any loose ends from the Peppercorn series and revisiting previous characters you know and love. Am off to find more books of hers I can read next because I know I will enjoy them!

I liked this book very much as I knew some of the characters from the other books. It was a great story and couldn’t stop reading it, then didn’t want it to finish like all Anna Jacobs books that I read.

Claire Small is hiding out w/ her 7 yr. old daughter from an abusive husband. She is accidentally hit by a vehicle driven by Luke Morgan who feels so guilty he invites her and Gabby to stay w/ him until she recovers. Claire is annoying w/ her constant “need” to be independent, although, clearly isn’t capable. You would thing she would be a little more grateful for the help offered. The inevitable happens and love blooms. What a surprise!
