The ultimate Christmas, and festive season cookbook!
I had this book on preorder so I was lucky to receive it on the day it was released. As a massive Taming Twins aka Sarah Rossi fan girl, and proud owner of What’s for Dinner and Whats for Dinner in One Pot, both of which get used in our household for meal planning weekly. I had to add Whats for Christmas Dinner to the trio. Not only does the book contain numerous recipes from the perfect turkey, and trimmings to puddings… hello wreath pavlova, and slow cooker chocolate orange pudding! There is also a planning chapter with shopping lists, christmas day timings, and tips and tricks. There is also a gorgeous chapter on homemade festive food gifts. The book is amazingly inclusive several vegetarian recipes in the main body of the book, and at the back a 6 page dedicated table of dietary adaptations detailing each recipe and if it can be adapted to gluten free, dairy free, vegan, vegetarian and nut free. This is clearly a book made with a lot of thought, love and care. A book I am sure won’t just be for Christmas, but can be enjoyed all year long! I can’t wait to get cooking!

Practical, clear, useful with some lovely recipes!!!
This book has absolutely all you could need for cooking over the festive period. Like all Sarah’s books the instructions are clear and workable and unambiguous. It’s a pet hate of mine to be left wondering things during a recipe – like should the saucepan be lidded, what size egg, is it for a fan oven etc?! Sarah’s recipes are not like this. I use the other two books often with some favourite recipes. I did worry that this one may be a bit “unnecessary” given my already extensive cookery book collection to include many Christmas books. But honestly this one is so well written and practical and fits almost completely how I cook. Very organised, to a recipe, plan ahead, part cook as much as possible etc. The book could have been written for me personally. I usually consider it a result if there’s one really good recipe in a book that becomes a regular player but I suspect I will cook almost every recipe in this one. I particularly like the guidance on cooking/preparing ahead.

I especially loved making her Chocolate Cheesecake, which turned out absolutely delicious and was a hit with my family! The Tomato Tart was another standout dish—simple yet so flavorful. Sarah just gets it!
I’m a huge fan of Sarah’s recipes from her Taming Twins website. Her one pot meals got me loving cooking again and have changed my life for the better.I was so excited to get this book as Xmas dinner is my favourite meal ever. I’ve skim-read this book twice already and have planned to cook the turkey tray bake this weekend. I cannot wait.I love to make handmade gifts for Xmas and usually everyone I know gets Sarah’s chocolate orange fudge. This year I have some new ideas thanks to this book. Thanks for just getting how a busy mum needs to cook. Nothing ott fancy, easy methods and delicious every time. Thanks for giving me back a love of cooking. (Bonus is my kids are starting to show interest in the recipes I make [they’re super fussy]). 😊
