After attending a wedding, a man is reminded of a Christmas party that he had been invited to years before. At the party, the man found himself isolated from most of the conversation, so began watching the other guests and the children as he idled. Soon, he witnessed an event that will eventually result in the wedding at which he is to be a guest years later.
“A Christmas Tree and a Wedding” was adapted into a film of the same name in 2000, and was directed by Will Wallace.

This is the pick for the annual Christmas story for one of my groups.I’m kind of in a pickle while trying to settle on a rating. On the one hand, his writing was terrific. Usually that earns 4-5 stars from me. I enjoyed most of the story, too, so that would justify a higher rating as well. My problem was the ending. That was a Debbie Downer of an ending. So I am not certain if my rating should reflect my dissatisfaction with the finish.After pausing this review while I mulled it over, I think my overall impression- including the the way I felt when it was finished, should be taken into account. In that case, 3.5 stars would be about right. But Amazon ratings being the way they are, it’s rounded up.
