She’s snowed in with the family. The only problem? They’re not her family.

A family gathering
This Christmas the Miller siblings have one goal – to avoid their family’s well-meaning questions. Ross, Alice and Clemmie have secrets that they don’t intend to share, and they are relying on each other to deflect attention.

An uninvited guest
Lucy Clarke is facing a Christmas alone, and the prospect of losing her job – unless she can win a major piece of business from Ross Miller. She’ll deliver her proposal to his family home in the Scottish Highlands and then leave. After all, she wouldn’t want to intrude on the Miller’s perfect family Christmas.

A Christmas to remember
When Lucy appears on the Miller’s snow-covered doorstep, she is mistaken for Ross’s girlfriend. But by the time the confusion is cleared up, a storm has hit and Lucy is stuck. As everyone settles in for a snowed-in Christmas, tensions bubble to the surface and suddenly Lucy finds herself facing a big family fallout with a family that isn’t hers…

    Lovely story
What a lovely story! I read it in two days which is very fast for me. I loved the characters and the gripping storyline. It was very Christmassy and perfect for this time of year. There was romance and drama, family problems and lovers reunited. This is my first book by Sarah Morgan, and I look forward to reading the rest. I highly recommend this author.

    Absolutely fabulous!
Sarah Morgan has done it again – I didn’t think she could improve on last year’s Christmas story, but this is her best one yet. I absolutely loved it! It was one of those books where you can’t wait to finish to see how it ends, but at the same time you are devastated to have to leave this fictional world. There is plenty of family drama, lots of delicious romance and some wonderful characters, all set against the backdrop of a gorgeous country house in the wilds of Scotland. I think my favourite character was the grandmother, Nanna Jean, whose outspoken comments had me laughing out loud. I hope I can be like her when I’m old! One of the heroines, Lucy, has no family left and is dreading Christmas, but when she ends up spending it with the Miller family everything changes. She’s an outsider but they make her feel welcome and included, and it was incredibly heart-warming. And although the family may seem perfect to her, they are far from it with tensions and undercurrents rife. Daughters of the house, Alice and Clemmie, have their own problems and heartache, and I felt for them as they fought for what they wanted. Being snowed in proves to be a blessing, as they are given the chance to work through their problems rather than run away from them. I was rooting for all of them every step of the way and couldn’t have put this book down if my life depended on it! Highly recommended.

Snowed in for Christmas is not only a romantic Christmas novel, but also a story that highlights everyday struggles women face within a family and how expectations affect each of them.Lucy is dealing with the loss of her Grandmother who raised her and who had died 2 years before at Christmas; her story highlights everyone’s struggle of bottling up their emotions to try and convince themselves and others that they’re okay.Alice is a career driven woman who spends her days working in a busy A&E looking after patients when they need her most; she’s plagued by the expectations of getting married and having children from her family and society, when she’s not sure it’s what she really wants.Clemmie loves children and wants nothing more than to have one of her own, she sets out on an IVF journey so she can have a child by herself; she’s met by a lot of backlash from her family over the fact she would be a single mother with no one to support her.Glenda feels like a failure and a bad mother, she’s shocked to find her children have kept things from her and feels responsible for how things panned out; she spends the whole of Christmas trying to keep Nanna Jean in check and try’s to help her children the best she can without over stepping.Sarah Morgan has dealt with incredibly complex issues faced by women, and society as a whole, in a thought provoking and light way that was easy to read and pulled at my emotions, I must admit I teared up a few times. Sarah’s use of multi POV wasn’t confusing and kept the story flowing, and her use of both a fast and slow pace kept me on my toes and begging to find out what happened next.I loved all the characters in this book and Nanna Jean has to be my favourite; her warm welcome to everyone and her impeccable meddling skills made me laugh and smile so much my cheek muscles hurt; she definitely made me miss my Grandma a wee bit. Ross’s sarcasm spoke to me, and a lot of people will relate to his struggles with proving his worth to his family and taking his time to find the right person. Big shout out to Nico, Douglas and Fergus for being understanding and for being there for our girls as they went through their personal struggles.I am incredibly excited to see what my mum thinks once she’s finished reading, and I’m looking forwards to reading more of Sarah’s work. For lovers of:- Christmas romance- Small town romance- Forced proximity- Feminism in literature- Complex family dynamics- Books that deal with grief & loss- Books set in Scotland- Multi POVs

Romantic, Funny & Amazing – Get Booked up for Snowed In –
Amazing Book which would have more than enough material for a follow up. The story is centred around a close knit family who have grown apart but at the same time they really know exactly how each of their minds work.It starts off with Lucy who is working for a marketing company hopefully to win the business of a leading company, non other than Ross who is the Brother of the Miller Family, she is unable to secure a face to face meeting to put forward her bespoke proposal and following the loss of several customers it is even more of a priority to secure her future, Lucy has history of her own and is single with no family but will not give you a spoiler on this one.The Miller family are head way to Scotland which is their tradition, Alice is bringing along her partner and is dreading the grilling she will receive, Clemmie has news she is really nervous about dropping into the mix and Ross is still distance with his dad as refuses to go into the family business. Following a pre ‘pow -wow’ they decide to push the family off track a fictitious girlfriend is just what is required for Lucy, this is really where the story starts as when her family answers the door they believe it is the ‘Actual Lucy’ and is the Girlfriend after his sisters drop their brother into deep water.I absolutely loved aunt Jean she is so funny and says it how it is and what we all think, admittedly very embarrassing but also has the expertise of that sixth sense and seems to know exactly what should be happening and is planned for the future.

Wow, what a read!Sarah Morgan delivers a heartwarming holiday masterpiece with Snowed In For Christmas, a story that perfectly blends family drama, romance, and the magic of the festive season.Set against the picturesque backdrop of the snowy Scottish Highlands, the book begins with a simple but charming premise: Lucy, a marketing professional desperate to win a career-saving account, accidentally ends up stranded at the Miller family’s cozy home just before Christmas. What follows is a delightful and tangled web of misunderstandings, budding relationships, and heartwarming moments as Lucy becomes entwined in the Millers’ holiday celebrations. The characters in Snowed In For Christmas are richly drawn and endearing. The Miller family is a vibrant, multi-generational cast, with their quirks and tensions feeling authentic and relatable. Lucy, the heroine, is a classic Morgan protagonist: intelligent, compassionate, and deeply human. Her chemistry with Ross, the oldest Miller sibling, is a slow burn that adds a touch of romance without overshadowing the broader themes of family and forgiveness. One of the book’s greatest strengths is its ability to balance humor with poignancy. The Millers’ lively interactions, complete with sibling banter and parental meddling, are laugh-out-loud funny. Yet, Morgan also skillfully explores deeper themes of grief, identity, and the pressure of unmet expectations, making the story resonate on an emotional level. The setting is pure holiday perfection. Morgan’s vivid descriptions of snow-covered landscapes, twinkling lights, and roaring fires make you want to curl up with a hot drink and lose yourself in the pages. The festive traditions and the warmth of family gatherings create a cozy, feel-good atmosphere that’s perfect for the season. While the ending ties up neatly with all conflicts resolved just in time for Christmas, it feels entirely fitting for the genre and enhances the book’s uplifting, escapist charm.Rating: ★★★★★ (5/5)

I very much enjoyed reading “Snowed in for Christmas”. As many other books by this author, it is a well-written story with likeable characters and relatable problems. The three siblings’ love stories seemed a little bit rushed IMO – the origins of their “conflicts” were not really well-explained, and the solutions were quite sudden – so I would have prefered a series of three separate full-length stories.

This book is just lovely. Each character has so much dimension and depth. There are so many layers to each plot line, but they all revolve around love; love of a parent for their child, love between siblings, romantic love, love of the place where you make your home, even love for your career.

Sarah Morgan’s books are always deep, meaningful and therapeutic. This book was no different. I became emotionally connected to certain characters and the family drama was entertaining. Each character becomes a real person who you can relate to and empathise with. Five full stars.
