A heartfelt and hilarious Christmas rom com
Full of so much warmth and humour. I absolutely loved Lindsey Kelk’s “I Heart” series, so I leapt at the chance to read this Christmas rom com, and it exceeded all expectations. Yes, I am reading a Christmas book in the middle of February, but its sparkling wit and heartfelt emotion is just the antidote to the bleak winter weather and dark evenings. Gwen Baker is newly dingle and has had to move out of her home, and work is going badly after she threw some histrionics at work. She just wants to return to the family fold for Christmas. A cosy Christmas in the countryside is exactly what she needs. Mid reminiscence of her breakup and tears in her eyes, she is surprised to see her childhood crush Dev Jones over the garden fence. Unrequited lust is alive like never before as he is just as handsome as a grown man. One issue – he is attached. Another problem is that Gwen finds herself waking to the same day over and over, a Christmas groundhog, and her crush doesn’t remember any of their moments together. A fabulous read that has heart and will also have you laughing out loud. #thechristmaswish #lindseykelk #romance

Good Christmas vibes
I throughly enjoyed this Christmas book, I read it in January and still felt the Christmas vibes. It had the family aspect in it, which you can relate to especially at Christmas. The rom com element which is always great with the Christmas theme as well. I would recommend this to people to read any tie of the year as you will still be able to get into the vibe and relate to the story.

OK but not the usual standard for Lindsay
I was really excited to read this book but unfortunately it didn’t live up to my expectations. I absolutely love Lindsay Kelk’s books and have read the I Heart series over and over but sadly this one wasn’t for me. I felt myself pushing to finish it because it was Lindsay Kelk and also because I’d paid quite a lot for it!

Not my usual genre – Ridiculously charming
The references to pop culture, the way the author writes real sounding people. Half the things Gwen and Manny say I could imagine me saying to my sisters – in fact I sent my sister a few quotes from some pages that were so relatable, hahaha.We have the discussion about Love Actually on a yearly basis!Very charming wee romance, made me belly laugh a good few times. Just solid fun!

There are so many christmas reads out there – but this one is a MUST! Its absolutely not your typical romance, with twists and turns and deep questions which make you think about your own life and choices. Quite surprised by how excellent this was!

What an absolutely delightful Christmas novel!Gwen is a 32 year old, newly single, newly suspended corporate lawyer, who has just had the worst Christmas ever. Unfortunately for her, she wakes up to find that she has been cursed to re-live the same day over and over again.This story was filled with humor and heart and holiday spirit, and kept me laughing throughout. From the dysfunctional family dynamics, to the hijinks Gwen gets up to when there are no consequences because there is no tomorrow, I thoroughly enjoyed immersing myself in this audiobook.Kristin Atherton was a wonderful narrator, and gave a terrific performance as Gwen and other delightful characters. Each character had their own personality, and Kristin truly brought them to life.If you don’t enjoy pop culture references, this one might not be for you, as there were a lot of current pop cultural references sprinkled throughout; I did enjoy them however.If you’re looking for a sweet, fun, Christmas novel, you can’t go wrong with this book.What this book is giving:✅ Groundhog Day, but make it Christmas✅ Second chance romance sub-plot✅ Humour (with a “u”)✅ Memorable side characters

This was a perfect Xmas read that I thoroughly enjoyed and will probably read again next Christmas. The premise was intriguing, the characters endearing, and the plot was set at a good pace. I never got bored with the story, and yes, I had two late nights reading which I couldn’t really afford (Christmas Eve and Christmas Day). But it was worth it. One night I was howling out loud at two in the morning, trying not to wake people up. Spoiler alert: it involves a dad’s well-intentioned gift. There are more laughs throughout the book and some really sweet moments. Truly a satisfying read. Like Cadbury chocolate. Thanks for making my Xmas extra special Lindsey! The next thing I’m going to do is look for your other books.

Absolutely loved reading this book I didnt want it to end, I hated putting it down and when I wasn’t reading I was constantly wondering what was going to happen next, I lost count how many times I laughed loudly such a fun read and for the readers who prefer no spice- it is insinuated and there is sexual topics which is briefly and rarely mentioned
