‘Spot-on. It’s ideal to read if you’re hiding in your shed on Boxing Day!’ Prima
The ultimate showcase of the quirks, mishaps and traditions that define British life, all rolled into one bonkers season.
Christmas, as we all know, is a minefield. What the hell do you buy your mother-in-law? How to deal with the inevitable arguments provoked by a simple game of Monopoly? And where should you sit at the dining table to best avoid Grandad when he starts going off about politics?
From navigating the awkwardness of marrying into a Presents After Dinner family to the terrors of staying in someone else’s house (especially when they have a weak flush), Very British Problems creator Rob Temple is here to ensure you’ll be invited back next year.
‘Rob pinpoints the elements of Christmas most likely to tip us over the edge, from tactless gifts and lazy house guests to board game tensions or political debate over dinner.’ Daily Telegraph

Julie Phillips –
Great Christmas book
An essential read for Christmas. Very funny and very true.
Jack Russell –
It’s funny but true.
I haven’t read all of this as I bought it for a gift, but I have had skim. It’s funny, interesting and in my case true. All those things that happen in families at Christmas – good and bad- is represented. If you are a fan of A Very British Problem (and if not why not?) this is the book for you.
Emma Amos –
An absolute hoot
Absolutely hilarious, sat here chortling as I’m reading it. Very British, a fantastic book
Caroline Webster –
Another win for Rob!
Hilarious!! I follow Rob on his VBP page on Facebook and he is always so funny and so accurate in what he says. I have bought all his books and even my 14 year old tea loving son sits sniggering away as he reads them.A highly recommended amusing read!
L. Hurst –
Very amusing!
This book is SO accurate! Incredibly amusing and absolutely spot on. I seldom laugh out loud when I read, but I certainly did this time.
Sarah Smith –
Hilarious from start to finish
The book is hilarious — the author takes you through all the stresses of the Christmas season in such an amusing way. I especially laughed at the parts about dancing at office parties and the struggle of returning to work afterwards. It’s the perfect read if you need a laugh.

Brilliant!
I bought it as a gift, arrived in the time frame and sitting waiting to be wrapped…. but Rob is so funny on his social media, I’m really itching to read it myself and might just have to buy another gift!

A joyous read for the impending festive season!
This is the first time in a long time that I’ve read a book ‘for me’ and it was definitely worth the wait! What a joyous read. Very relatable which I’m not sure is a good thing?! Have recommended to many people.P.S. I can top a hoover… a memory stick!
