Great little tubs
Great little tubs, amazing for prepping dinners for the week. These are dishwasher safe which is a time saver. These tubs are leak proof and a great size for dinners. They’re easy to open and close with a click sound to ensure you have done so.

Sistema is the only brand of food containers I would buy to hold sandwiches or left-overs because their clips are properly constructed with a hindge. Cheap supermarket models clips do not have hindges but just a fold of thin plastic with break off all too easily and all too soon. Pay a bit more for a longer (much longer) lasting container works out cheaper in the long run. We have ones which are over 10 years old.Tip, if you want them to last longer, don’t use them in the microwave because there are specific models from Sistema for that purpose. The specific model tends to be red bottoms with a switched opening on the transparent lid.Update 2025.Having used these for a year have to down grade this model to 4 stars due to the design of the clips. Where the old model from 10-15 years ago served us well with no complaints, this one has one poor design feature which is that the clips are mounted on the lips and you close it by (trying) to klick clip it onto the body of the container. However, the long sides of the container are the weakest sides and relatively flimzy such that when you try to clip it, the body sides flexes away from the clip ! How stupid ! Consequently my wife nor children are not able to klick these clips into place. Now, the old model is just the opposite, i.e. where the clips are mounted on the long sides of the body and you close it by clicking the clip onto the lid, which due to the design of the lid edges are necessarily strongest part of the food boxes. I might add, at the same time the material used to make the body of the older design is thicker too but this part has no bearing on the clipping action. It is the thicker, strongest part at the lid edges which make the older model easiest to open and close.One Step Back and One Step Forward. Having outlined the one design flaw, there is one design improvement in the new design which is that the gasket does not come off easily – when it is hot and just taken out of the dish washer I flick most of the water off and it is when the old design of gasket often somes off; the new model hardly ever.

Not the greatest quality compared
I have had Sistema boxes before and they were of much better quality than these. While not flimsy that aren’t particularly solid either and they are quite difficult to click shut (again unlike previous ones). I wonder if this is a budget range ? Sadly I won’t be buying again and will probably go back to lock n lock.

These are really a great size, and so easy to open and close, for someone with dexterity problems, they would be good. I have quite a few things from this line, and they are all top notch, easy to use, easy to clean a great product for me.
